Saint Vincent Hospital Names Kvapil as Chief Nursing Officer
Dec 1, 2023Worcester, Mass. – Saint Vincent Hospital announced today the appointment of Denise Kvapil, MSN, BSN, to Chief Nursing Officer of Saint Vincent Hospital and the Massachusetts market. In her role, Kvapil will oversee nursing operations and activities for Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham and Natick, Mass.
Kvapil replaces Jay Prosser, DNP, RN, CCRN-K, NE-BC, who will be leaving Saint Vincent Hospital to pursue a new opportunity as the Executive Director of the Nursing Council for Workforce Sustainability for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In his new role, Prosser will focus on the statewide nursing workforce.

Prior to her appointment, Kvapil served as the Chief Nursing and Operations Officer at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center where she oversaw nursing administration, daily hospital operations and ancillary services. Kvapil was also Chief Nursing Officer at Palm Beach Gardens where she was responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of Medical Center’s nursing departments.
Before joining the team at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Kvapil served as the Vice President of Patient Care Operations/Chief Nursing Officer at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey. She has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field and hospital administration. Kvapil is also a veteran who served in the United States Marines from 1986 to 1992 and rose to the rank of E-4 Corporal. She is a graduate of Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from South University.
