Saint Vincent Hospital and the Tenet Massachusetts Market Name Darrin Cook to the Position of Chief Operating Officer

Worcester, MA – Darrin Cook is named to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Saint Vincent Hospital and the Massachusetts Market. In this role, Cook will manage daily operations and oversee the development and implementation of long-range plans, goals and objectives for Saint Vincent Hospital, and create synergies to better serve the community with sister hospital, MetroWest Medical Center.

“After serving as our Interim COO for the last four months, we are very pleased to have Darrin stay with us as an integral part of the Saint Vincent Hospital and Massachusetts Market leadership teams to help advance our operations,” said Carolyn Jackson, chief executive officer of Saint Vincent Hospital and the Massachusetts Market. “With his excellent track record, I am confident Darrin will continue to help further our mission of providing high quality care for our patients.”

Cook has over 20 years of health care administration experience and comes to Saint Vincent Hospital from sister hospital Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Florida. While there, he managed and supervised many of the ancillary support services with direct effect on patient experience and quality of care. Prior to that, he served at Renown Health’s Institute for Heart and Vascular Health as an administrative director in Reno, Nevada. His responsibilities included overseeing the general medical cardiology, structural heart, and heart failure programs. In addition, he managed the intensive cardiac rehab program that aligned with the hospitals Cath labs, cardiac imaging, and CVORs.

Cook spent six years on active duty as a medical specialist with the United States Army, serving one tour in Kuwait as well as one year in the Army National Guard. He holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management and a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services from the University of Phoenix.
