Join Saint Vincent Hospital for the Grand Opening of its Second Electrophysiology Suite
Nov 18, 2019Worcester, MA – October 4, 2019 Saint Vincent Hospital is pleased to announce the expansion of electrophysiology services with the opening of a second modern electrophysiology room. This procedural room provides additional capacity to monitor, evaluate, and treat abnormal heart rhythms in patients. While Saint Vincent Hospital has been performing comprehensive services for heart rhythm abnormalities, expanding the hospital’s capacity to offer EP procedures like the Watchman (implantable device to reduce risk for stroke for patients with Atrial Fibrillation) can be provided in this new EP suite.
“The need for electrophysiology procedures and cardiovascular care in our area is increasing.” says Carolyn Jackson, Chief Executive Officer of Saint Vincent Hospital. “Keeping our technology current allows us to provide our patients with quality care and positive outcomes.”
On Tuesday, October 8th, a reception commemorating the opening of the hospital’s new EP lab will take place at 4:00 pm in the Atrium. All are welcome for refreshments, presentations and a photo gallery walk of the upgraded lab. Following the EP reception, “Dinner with the Doctor” will take place. Dr. Douglas Laidlaw, Board Certified Electrophysiologist, will speak about Atrial Fibrillation, or Afib, a common heart arrhythmia at 5:30 pm in the Atrium. This free event is open to the public and those who would like to attend should RSVP by calling 833-761-6152.
