WORCESTER, Mass. – Saint Vincent Hospital supported the Worcester County Food Bank in our Annual ‘Healthy Over Hungry’ Cereal Drive held over the last two weeks by donating 356 pounds of cereal products.

“For some children, it can be challenging to ensure they have access to breakfast over the summer, and the Cereal Drive is one way to support kids in our communities,” says Carolyn Jackson, CEO of Saint Vincent Hospital.

To add some fun to this year’s Cereal Drive, we held a Blindfolded Cereal Tasting contest, where team members tried to guess what cereal they tasted. There was also a word search contest with hidden cereal-related terms and a “Wear Celtics Gear Friday” where employees could wear Celtics gear in support of them being in the NBA Finals if they donated a box of cereal that day.

This annual initiative helps further our mission of improving the health and well-being of those we serve and aims to help those struggling with hunger, especially children.
