Saint Vincent and MetroWest Medical Center appoint new chief strategy officer

Apr 18, 2023
Tenet Healthcare announced the appointment of Connie Malave Branyan as the new market chief strategy officer for its Massachusetts market, which encompasses Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center.

“Connie is an experienced healthcare strategist who brings a deep understanding of programmatic growth and strategic development to Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center,” said Carolyn Jackson, chief executive officer, at Saint Vincent Hospital and the Massachusetts Market for Tenet Healthcare in the press release.

At Saint Vincent and MetroWest Medical Center, Branyan will be responsible for strategic planning, regional growth, and new business venture efforts, according to a Monday press release from Tenet.

Branyan’s appointment follows the addition of a new chief medical officer and chief human resources officer at Tenet’s Massachusetts market in February. Texas-based Tenet’s Massachusetts market has undergone a period of executive turnover in the past year.

Branyan was previously the executive director of strategy and business development at Stamford Health, a regional health system with over 40 locations based in Stamford, Connecticut, according to the release. The market chief strategy officer role that Branyan now assumes was previously held by David Haws, who left the role in June 2022 to become chief strategy officer at Ascension St. John Health System in Tusla, Oklahoma, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Branyan graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and holds a Master of Public Health degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
