Heart Pump Patient Reunion
Nov 8, 2024Saint Vincent Hospital recently held a Cardiac Survivor Reunion event to celebrate a local heart failure survivor Walter Lundin. Walter got to reunite with his physicians and medical team to celebrate his heart recovery with family members.
The reunion is a testament to the exceptional dedication and care Saint Vincent’s medical staff who treated Walter and the innovative technology that helped save his life. Walter was treated using a tiny heart pump. This small heart pump allows the heart to rest and recover by temporarily assisting the pumping function of the heart to efficiently deliver blood and oxygen to the entire body.
